Putney Estate Agents

Prior to launching the Putney brand of EweMove, I enjoyed a previous career as an international civil servant, working for eight years at the United Nations and subsequently the International Coffee Organization here in London, leaving me with an abiding interest in international affairs and, of course, coffee! Originally from Scunthorpe, I left to study Modern Languages in Newcastle upon Tyne and later in Konstanz, Germany. My first proper job was with the UN in New York, and subsequently London. During a year spent working in Paris as a translator/copywriter I met Fabienne to whom I've been married for 23 years and have a son, Rufus, who is currently studying 'History & Politics' at university in Wales. I have a decades-long interest and involvement in property and launched EweMove Putney in April 2016, the fulfilment of a longstanding ambition! A fair percentage of clients that I have dealt with over the past six years - sellers, buyers and sometimes even their solicitors - have actually told me that I'm the best Estate Agent that they have encountered, which is very gratifying. The main reasons they give are: (i) I'm completely open and transparent at all times; (ii) I'm well informed and fully committed; (iii) I'm an excellent communicator and keep clients constantly informed on developments; (iv) I use my communication skills to negotiate on clients' behalf and to deal with any issues that arise in steering the transaction to a successful conclusion.

About Putney

We moved to the local area just prior to the birth of my son. He is now twenty and away at university in Wales. During these two eventful decades we have lived in Barnes, East Sheen and - for the past twelve years - in Putney (Roehampton to be precise). With our son attending local schools and participating in a range of sporting activities and my wife and I enthusiastically embracing local life, we feel that this is destined to be our home forever- and we couldn't be more glad! What do I love about Putney? It has to be the wealth of green areas - Richmond Park, Putney Heath, Wimbledon Common, etc. Not to mention the proximity to the River Thames. That's two things, but there are many more. When we were first living here, I was driving a visiting friend back from the West End and, as we crossed Hammersmith Bridge (remember that?), he commented on the almost palpable change in 'vibe', as if we had unexpectedly reached a calm haven where we could let down our guard and simply relax. Of course, dependent on mood, the area can also be lively and bustling and offers an enviable range of recreational activities for all ages, including excellent sporting facilities, as well as first rate shops and boutiques, restaurants and pubs, cinemas and theatres. For parents of school-age children, there is an abundance of excellent schools, both state and independent.
