Hi, I’m Tony Lee, your EweMove personal estate agent for Gillingham & Hempstead.
I’ve lived in Chatham for the past 18 years, so Medway is very much home. I’ve seen the area develop and change over that time and have come to appreciate just how much the different communities across Medway have to offer.
After almost 28 years working for the Bank of England, including many years managing complex property-related projects, I decided it was time for a completely new challenge – one that allowed me to work more closely with people and become even more involved in my local community.
That’s what led me to EweMove.
What appealed to me was the opportunity to do estate agency differently. Moving home is a huge decision, and I don’t believe you should ever feel like just another property on an agent’s books. I want my clients to know exactly who they’re dealing with and to have someone they can call, message and rely upon throughout the whole journey.
My previous career taught me the importance of communication, attention to detail, organisation and, perhaps most importantly, doing what you say you’re going to do. Those are the same principles I’m bringing to EweMove Gillingham & Hempstead.
You’ll also see me out and about supporting local businesses, getting involved with the community and, as part of the Gills family as a local business partner, probably spending a fair bit of time around Priestfield too!

About Gillingham & Hempstead
Having lived in Medway for 18 years, I know one of the great things about this part of Kent is the variety of neighbourhoods and communities it offers.
Gillingham provides a fantastic mix of homes, amenities and transport links, with its mainline railway station offering connections towards London and across Kent. It’s also home to Medway Maritime Hospital, the Universities at Medway and, of course, Priestfield Stadium – home of Gillingham Football Club.
Head towards Hempstead and Wigmore and the feel becomes more suburban, with established neighbourhoods particularly popular with families. Hempstead Valley offers excellent shopping and dining, while Wigmore has its own strong community feel and attractive green spaces.
The area is well connected too, with easy access to the M2 providing convenient links towards London and the Kent coast, while nearby Rainham offers further shopping, amenities and mainline rail connections.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, there are plenty of parks, walking routes and open spaces, including nearby Capstone Farm Country Park.
It’s this combination of community, connectivity, green space, amenities and variety of homes that makes Gillingham, Hempstead, Wigmore and the surrounding area such a great place to call home.
