Nice to meet you! I am Alex Jewhurst and I started our business as EweMove Cirencester from our spare room in South Cerney back in June 2017. I have been coming to the village since I met my wife, Natasha, at university in 1999 before we finally moved "home" in 2015 after a 10 year stint in central London. We live in South Cerney with our 10 year old daughter, May and working Cocker, Louis and have no regrets in leaving the Big Smoke behind.
My estate agency career started in a small army town called Bordon in Hampshire in 2005 after I decided a career in engineering just wasn't right for me. Having always had a passion for property, I decided to jump into the industry - much to the dismay of friends and family saying "but you're not like an estate agent??". Ever since then I have strived to change the perception of estate agents to show that we can be "good people!"
The journey took me up through Surrey and on into the Central London market where I finished up working for Hamptons in their City office dealing with some pretty spectacular high net worth clients and properties to boot. However, after almost 2 years of commuting back and forth from the Cotswolds to the City, I decided that was enough when I stumbled across a rather interesting, if not quirky franchise opportunity with a crazy green sheep logo. The rest, as they say, is history...

About Cirencester
Cirencester has it all! I love the masses of country walks around the Cotswold Waterparks with all the multitude of watersports on offer. Of course, there are also plenty of golf courses and smashing country pubs to relax in as well!
South Cerney, where our village shop front is located, has so much to offer including 3 pubs (The Old George, The Oak and The Elliot Arms, a pharmacy, an indian restaurant, a fabulous fish & chip shop, The Braai House deli & post office, a hairdressers, a doctor's surgery, dentist, two churces, play group and a primary school). And that's just the village itself - on the outskirts, the list is endless!
Cirencester is only a 10 minute drive away or a bus every 30 mins and is a picturesque market town with bundles of independent shops, restaurants and bars with weekly markets throughout the year.
Schools in the area are plentiful with a great selection of state schools as well as highly regarded private schools such as Rendcomb College, Hatherop Castle and Westonbirt. The best grammar schools in Gloucestershire; Pates, Stroud High & Marling College have bus services from here.
