North Leeds Estate Agents

Let me introduce myself…
I'm Aidan Cook, owner and Director of EweMove North Leeds. I’ve lived and worked in this area, particularly Oakwood and Roundhay, for almost thirty years.

Being your local estate agent in Leeds means I know the housing stock in the area, I know the schools, shops, sports clubs, parks, and all the other places and things that makes this such a wonderful place to live in. My children all went to school here, and my parents have moved here after downsizing.

Be it Oakwood, Roundhay, Street Lane, Alwoodley or the surrounding villages of Thorner, Shadwell, Harewood, Bardsey and East Keswick, I have a deep love for this area and this enthusiasm for my “home patch” comes across in everything I do.

My personal approach and local knowledge mean you are talking to the expert, and since I personally look after my customer from the beginning to the end of the process, you get a great bespoke service.
I’m proud to be part of the award-winning EweMove, but I also bring a local and personal expertise as well as the flexibility that makes it easier to get things done at times of the day and week that suit you best - something not every Leeds estate agent can offer!

I look forward to working with and for you.

About North Leeds

A good quality of life is important for me and for my family, and that's why I've lived in Leeds for so long. We're in the heart of the UK, at a meeting of major motorways and rail connections that mean in a few hours I can be in London, Edinburgh, at the top of a Welsh mountain, or boarding the ferry to Amsterdam. Decades ago it was the music and nightlife that brought me to Leeds, and this has only grown and improved over the years. As a significant European city, we are home to Opera North, The Henry Moore Gallery, The Royal Armouries, and numerous excellent galleries and museums, restaurants, bars, and cinemas (the moving image was actually invented here in Leeds!). We also have internationally-known sporting clubs Leeds United, Leeds Rhinos, and Yorkshire Cricket (caution: following any or all of these can be an emotional rollercoaster).

I've lived in this area of Leeds for many years, with four children having attended local Kerr Mackie and Gledhow primary schools and the outstanding Roundhay High School. The huge open spaces of Roundhay Park are complimented by many other green spaces such as the beautiful woods of Adel, Gledhow Valley and Wigton Moor. There are great walks and bike rides in all directions; a favourite cycle loop of mine goes from Roundhay Park to Temple Newsam House, then to the vast RSPB reserve at St.Aidan's and along the river bank to the Royal Armouries and then home. There are other great rides and walks (and pubs) in Thorner, Harewood, Bardsey, Shadwell and East Keswick, often around the many excellent golf clubs of the area.

Oakwood Parade, Street Lane, Alwoodley, and others all have great selections of interesting independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars (as well as essential local medical services, both human and veterinary!). Longtime personal and family favorites have been Bengal Brasserie on Roundhay Road, Hayley and Clifford on Street Lane, The Bingley Arms in Bardsey, but there are always new places to discover!
